The King's Coronation Celebration
The King's Coronation was a momentous occasion for the whole country when it took place over the weekend of Saturday 6th May. Mayor's Civic Service
The Mayor of Thrapston, Cllr Craig Wilcox, would be delighted if you could attend his Civic Service on Sunday 9th July 2023 at 3pm at St James Church, Thrapston.
Light refreshments will be available after the service at the Plaza Community Centre, Thrapston.
Parking is available in the Sackville Street Car Park or The Bullring, with additional parking available along the High Street.

Thrapston Town Council elects a new Mayor
Thrapston Town Council recently elected Cllr Craig Wilcox as Mayor of Thrapston for 2023-24.
Cllr Wilcox will be supported in his role by Cllr Andy McGovern who will serve as Vice-Chairman and Deputy Mayor.
We look forward to the year ahead with Craig as Chairman.

Hermitage House Care Home Open Day
The new Hermitage House Car Home on Huntingdon Road will be holding an open day on Saturday 11th March from 11am until 3pm.
All are welcome to attend to have a look around the care home, meet the staff and sample some of the menus.

Thrapston Christmas Festival
On Saturday 26th November, Thrapston Town Council hosted the Christmas Festival in the High Street, featuring local food and drink, an indoor craft market, funfair, inflatable and so much more.

Thrapston Fireworks
Saturday 5th November saw the return of the Thrapston Firework display at the Sport's Field on Meadow Lane.
The event was really well attended by residents in Thrapston and they were treated to a phenomenal 15 minute show. Volunteers were on hand with donation buckets collecting for the Mayor's chosen charity, The Haemophilia Society, with a fantastic £2,015.50 raised.

The Mayor's Evening of Music
On Saturday 29th October, the Mayor's Evening of Music took place at the Plaza.
Thrapston Town Band performed a fantastic set of British classics and well-known favourites, which included an Abba medley, The Lincolnshire Poacher, I Vow To Thee My Country and a moving performance of God Save The King. The Proclamation of King Charles III
On Sunday 11th September 2022 at 6pm, the Mayor of Thrapston Cllr Craig Wheeler, Thrapston Town Councillors, North Northants Unitary Councillors, the Royal British Legion and Thrapston residents came together in Coronation Gardens to hear the Proclamation of the Accession of His Majesty King Charles III.
All assembled gave three cheers for His Majesty the King and sang the National Anthem.
