Neighbourhood Plan Meeting
Monday 3rd October, 7.30pm Thrapston Plaza
What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
Neighbourhood planning gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area. It's written by the local community, the people who know and love the area, to ensure the community gets the right types of development, in the right place.
A neighbourhood plan is a document that sets out planning policies for a local area. It is used to decide whether to approve planning applications, including new buildings, or changes to existing buildings. By being involved you can choose where you want new homes, shops and offices to be built; you can have your say on what those new buildings should look like and what infrastructure should be provided.
Get involved and help protect Thrapston's open spaces and historic environment - support natural growth. Neighbourhood planning is supported by central government through the Localism Act.
