The Mayor's Evening of Music

On Saturday 29th October, the Mayor's Evening of Music took place at the Plaza.

Thrapston Town Band performed a fantastic set of British classics and well-known favourites, which included an Abba medley, The Lincolnshire Poacher, I Vow To Thee My Country and a moving performance of God Save The King. The evening was to raise money for the Mayor's chosen charity, The Haemophilia Society; and a fantastic £414.39 was raised.

The musical pieces were preluded by some wonderful anecdotes from Thrapston Town Band Musical Director, Nathan Waterman, giving the audience some insight into the background of the music choices and songs. The evening was enjoyed by all and a huge thank you to all who attended for raising such a fantastic amount for The Haemophilia Society.
