Thrapston Christmas Festival
On Saturday 26th November, Thrapston Town Council hosted the Christmas Festival in the High Street, featuring local food and drink, an indoor craft market, funfair, inflatable and so much more.
The tree lighting was accompanied by carols performed by Thrapston Plaza Opera and friends, alongside Thrapston Town Band. The High Street was filled with families getting into the festive spirit and the Mayor Craig Wheeler was serving refreshments in the Plaza to raise money for his chosen charity, The Haemophilia Society. There was also a bottle tombola raising money which helped to bring the grand total donated at the event to £624.10.
Children (and adults alike) enjoyed trying their hand at the side stall games and the craft tent was filled with those writing letters to Santa and making their own Christmas tree decorations.
The event was kindly supported by DSV, Thrapston Farm and Garden, Chris George The Estate Agent, Freedom Leisure and Thrapston Garage. Thank you to all who attended and helped make the afternoon a great community event.
