Town Mayor Opens New Play Area

Thrapston Town Council recently commissioned a new play area at Windsor Drive, Thrapston. Play company Kompan have installed new equipment: a multi-play unit, swings, ‘supernova’ dynamic spinner, play panel and spinning bowl, aimed at children aged 6 years and above.
The Town Council has funded the new play equipment with support from the East Northamptonshire Council Community Facilities Fund.
On Friday 23rd March 2018 at 3:30pm the Mayor of Thrapston, Councillor Sam Cribb, will be cutting the ribbon to officially open the new facilities. District Councillor Val Carter (Thrapston Lakes) will also be in attendance. Kompan will hand out goody bags, supported by Jollys Toys, Thrapston.
Mayor of Thrapston, Councillor Sam Cribb said: “I am delighted to be opening the new play area on Windsor Drive. We are very grateful to East Northamptonshire Council for helping us to fund the project. I invite residents to come along and celebrate this fantastic new facility!”
